About the Casting Paintings Series:

This work is what I consider the root of my experience as a creator and artist. It is the combination of three key elements: one part performance, one part painting, and one part interactive conceptual art. I combine the exercise of creating visual art with the act of energy healing to form an object to cast one’s worries into as they simultaneously clear their energy field.

I liken the paintings, intensely dominated by the colors black, brown, and white to a smoky quartz meant to absorb negative frequencies and transmute them into positive energy. This conceptual cleansing process empowers those holding this intention. A set of instructions accompany each painting further engaging the viewer in a meditation of casting energy into the black vortex within the painting.
